When you look at my life from the outside you may see many different things depending on how well you can read people. Some see a spoiled little rich kid, indulged in clothing and materialistic values. While others may see a big Sci-Fi geek, wrapped up in Star Trek, Planet of the Apes and collections of Vinyl Toys. However what you all probably dont see is my never ending grind to reach my greatest potential. I work hard for this people and I cant do it alone anymore. The work load has become to vast and yes, I do need help. That is why I've begun to put together a group of artists, writers, intellects, collectors, creaters, designers, stylists, and many more things to aid me in my efforts. My last post made me think about my collection of Vinyl Toys. Then it went from that to all the collections of things I own. Sneakers, Vinyl Toys, Old school records, hats, comic books, and now my growing collection of Star Trek memorabilia. I have put a lot of hard work and money into these things over time...I wonder how long it will continue?

I have been in deep thought lately; and I hate it so. I just seem to always let my head fill with a lot of nonsense and worries that I do not need. I have been feeling really down lately and I really dont know why. Im still confused about a lot of things and still seek answers. I have no idea what to do. All I can do now though is pray that I can muster enough strength to stay on the right path and continue to play my minimal role in this role. I feel so drained. I need something.....but what? I need guidance. I have decided to get back involved and rooted in church. Only Jesus can help me through this time in my life. So much death, deception, and sin.....please lord lead me to the right path.

Frost Birgens S/S 2010 Preview

On the Rocks

Michael Dacey over at Repeat Press inside the Fringe Movement Studio in Somerville, MA worked up these custom two sided coasters for Highsnobiety and Selectism.

The coasters were run off on Michael’s early 1966 Vandercook SP20 Press using coaster stock. Each sheet housed four coasters which were then cut on a vintage Challenge Advance Guillotine Cutter and corners were rounded using a new old stock 60’s Lassco Corner Cutter. The finished coasters were then hand banded and glue to form. Not surprisingly, we ran out of the inital run but plan on pressing more in the New Year. Many thanks to Michael for an amazing job.

I have learned over the years that with age comes responsibility. The older you get.....the more you get, and you have to accept the positive or negative outcome from each decision you make. You may gain a benefit or a consequence but at the end of the day that is what you brought upon yourself. Do not run from your responsibilities....embrace them...for they go nowhere...and will always be yours....
